California 'Shine the Light' Data Law DawnsBy Kristen Bremner
California's privacy law known as "Shine the Light" takes effect Jan. 1 with many marketers being able to comply by providing consumers with notice of privacy policies containing opt-out options. Liz Figueroa, the bill would have required companies to keep records of all customer data that are shared with third parties offline or online for direct marketing purposes. |
